I think the real question is which do you really need? The XP is measured @ 2" W X 4-1/2" L, whereas the MP is measured @ 1-1/2" W X 4-1/2"L. If you have longer hair (say past your shoulders), or planning to growing it out, I would say go w/the XP. If your length is say to your shoulders or higher, go for the MP. Either way, you will be getting what seems to be a very great product!! I am actually in the process of ordering mine as we speak. Also, I would HIGHLY recommend buying from HSN.com. They have the BEST deal for the MP and the XP w/bonuses starting @ $79.95: 2 stylers (XP or MP + a mini-styler) and 5 maxiessential items, the instructional dvd and 2 carrying cases. Great deal that others are cashing in on by just selling the styler!
