I have wavey and thick hair too! And i use Chi it is awsome! It takes me about 5 minutes to straighten my hair useing that! I have the pink one. But like i said Chi is the best ever i think!
go to your local salon and ask them what they would recommend or alot of them sell really nice ones there. they can be pretty expensive but it works better than alot of the ones that you can buy in the stores.

Wet 2 Straight by Remmington. Pure GENIUS.
I wasted money on numerous cheap straighteners so I finally spent the extra for GHD straightners & they are fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone. I bought mine from a salon about 6 months ago & they cost me £99.
I have two pairs of straighteners, Chi & GHD ones, i recommend them to anyway with thick hair… they heat up quick so you don’t need to wait too long for them to heat up..
i got my GHD’s for £75 because I worked in a salon so I got it cheaper, but if you were to buy them it would cost around £100-£110 x
best hair straightner? well there used to be one I saw on t.v. as a commercial where it works really well. all you had to do was slide it down your hair and viola! straight hair, it didn’t matter what type of hair you had. sorry, but I have no idea what it is called, even though my friends and relatives use it sometimes. my advice? hair salon. they could help you make your hair straight or give you tips or advice of what and how do to make your hair straighter.
