I've also stepped away from low-quality shampoo and have started using Paul Mitchell. A combination of this salon-quality stuff and cutting back on the heat, my hair has never felt better! Good luck! It is extremely damaging, especially when you have long hair. If your hair is short, then you can at least cut it and trim it often, if it's long, you will just burn them. But if you want to tame your waves, it's good to explore some special products that are made especially for curls.
