When we straighten my hair with a hair straightener,I straighten my hair up to 400 degrees as well as my total hair straightens, but only not a ends/tips of my hair.My hair is similar to up past my shoulders. And a ends/tips go up.And not down. What will have it straight?Does my hair need to grow longer or what? Please assistance me!My hair’s pushing me crazy!

your hair is either really difficult or extremely damaged.
When you straighten it, Straighten the ends in a slight under curve , and continously roll them straight with a brrush until tey cool. sometimes you need to hold the hair straight unttil it’s cool, otherwise it will curl back up. Good luck!
You might have split ends. The straightener is very bad for your hair. When you use it don’t leave it on your ends for very long. Try using a leave in heat protectant. Also, you could use the straightener to curl your hair under
It’s very common for shorter hair to do that. Mine always does when I get it cut that short. :/ My best advice is to hold the straightener on it and curl it inward, and hold it for a little bit. But when hair flips out at the end, it’s actually sometimes cute.
But if you really don’t like it, you should let your hair grow out a bit.
pull the flat iron straight down
don’t twist the flat iron outward as you get to the ends
apply a heat sealing/styling product on the ends of your hair before you apply heat
your flat iron is to hot
Do you mean that the ends flip up? That’s what mine does because my hair is slightly past shoulder length and naturally wavy. It sucks, I know. With mine I use my CHI straightener to curl them under slightly which offsets my hairs natural tendency to flip out. It ends up looking completely straight.
Well, it could be a few different things. Sometimes your hair is naturally that way and it’s just very difficult to get it to go away. Here are some suggestions.
It is possible to set your straightener too high. My friends has super fine hair that is pin straight and curling irons work on her hair-they don’t hold the style. So she’ll turn her straightener on all the way and go over one strand of hair 3-4 times and it will start curling up-so that might be your problem especially if you have silkier/finer hair.
This also could be a sign that you need a trim-and this will fix the problem a little bit, but not completely.
Remember to go slowly down each strip of hair when straightening just a couple times on about 375-395 degrees instead of several quick times on a high setting-and especially slow down at the ends.
There may also be some straightening products you can use-if you’re willing to do the research.
Sometimes it’s just natural, but temporary, and it will probably go away within a year or two-it might just be your age.
The length might somewhat be a problem, but again, it’s your type of hair. Whatever you want to do with it is fine!
Hope i helped and good luck!
it’s probably just split ends, I have them too, but i have a solution! I promise you it works. Get yourself a wide tooth comb similar to this:

and go through the end of your hair slowly while following with straightener. this works GREAT for me, and gives them a neat sort of razored look. I use a remington wet2straight. it makes your hair feel really smooth, too, I guess it’s just how the comb picks the hair up.
give it a try!!!
i used to have that problem, i started using a product called biosilk and got a higher quality straightener and my hair straightens fine now
)
hope this helps
My hair does that too. It’s most likely the way it was cut. (Either that, or it’s an urban myth, the cut thing, because that’s the explanation I was given when posing this question.)
